the evenings out here - Thoughts, rants and musings about absolutely everything except photography. Or cats.

Fired with enthusiasm

Game over. You have scored no points. So long, and thanks for all the code.

Having dedicated more or less all of the last two years to conceiving, creating and building Playyoo (and that includes dreaming about it, and of course shower time), the need for my skill set is diminishing. Playyoo is expanding as a mobile operator linked service in Italy, and for now the focus is on building up revenue. It’s going to be a bit difficult to let go, but it had to happen some day. However, it does mean I can, for a while at least, revert to my initial role within Imaginventure working on concept designs for another project, which is still under wraps but is going to be huge.

Playyoo carries on, and the remaining team is working on some interesting concepts. The bottom line is that companies have at some point to start showing revenues, especially these days. And the new strategy is very much focused on delivering that, which I guess can’t be bad for my stake in the company.

Still, it would have been nice to have actually finished the flashy new web GUI I’ve been working on all these months….
