Now, we all politely pretend that we don't know that most corporate research reports are completely useless overblown, over-hyped doorstops aimed at helping the blind to lead the blind (or attract VC money), but this one really takes it to the next level... does anybody really need a report to work out how to sell, ahem, adult content ?
What remarkable honesty & self-awareness....
This is priceless. This guy, Robert Scoble, who apparently is a world famous communicator is waffling on and on about something or the other to do with social applications (don't bother - there must be some interesting paint to watch dry somewhere).
This screenshot is taken from a sequence where he is talking into a crackly microphone and scribbling on a whiteboard. We cannot see his face (although we get a great shot of his, er, waistline), and we can't see what he's writing on the whiteboard.
And he puts this stuff on line. And he has legions of fans. Content ? Zilch. Production values ? Zilch.
Ah. Oops. This is the US version of "The Office", isn't it ? God I'm so gullible.
So, here it is…. what the World + Dog has been waiting for
…and, since it has been Designed In California, it is totally clueless about the one most important aspect to a mobile phone - especially a smartphone.
Unbelievably. it will not support 3G / UMTS. All the gear and no idea. All dressed up and nowhere to go.
Amazing. Nokia must be pi**ing themselves.
(UPDATE: and it doesn’t support MMS. And there is no scope for 3rd party development. And the battery is not removable. And…. never mind)
Just seen that the Swiss budget (well, so they claim) airline Helvetic has rebranded. From their frankly eye catching lurid pink (or whatever it is), they now look Exactly Like Every Other Swiss Airline:
Seems that unless you’ve got a white cross on a red background, you just don’t cut it in the Swiss airline industry.

One trace of originality still survives at Geneva based Baboo… but then again, Geneva isn’t really in Switzerland…
…and anyway, if you squint it still looks pretty much the same.
